The rooms at Hotel de Abdij are simply furnished, which gives them a cozy and homey feel that I love. I really enjoyed the seating area in some rooms where I could relax and unwind after a long day of work. The private bathroom in each room was definitely a plus for me, providing convenience and privacy.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the basic bathroom setup with a bath or shower, washstand, and toilet.

I absolutely loved the charming countryside style of the hotel. The decor reminded me of the old abbey houses you see in movies, with the cozy reading room and conference room being a delightful surprise. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with the rooms and common areas being easy to navigate.
The only thing I would have asked for as a senior traveler is a laundry facility. It would have been convenient to have a washing machine and drying machine available for use.
